Join us for an evening of great food, wine and song under the stars, as we combine the artistic talents of two of South Australia’s homegrown favourites.

T.V Celebrity Chef & Masterchef finalist Poh Ling Yeow presents a 3 course meal featuring her signature Paella, which is then followed by an intimate performance of the award winning Cabaret show ‘Exposing Edith‘, presented by Michaela Burger & Greg Wain. All served on the lawns, under the stars, at the historic ‘Koonowla’ property east of Auburn. Tickets start at $95 inclusive of meal & show. Shuttle Bus available through Clare Valley Tours – Doors open 5.30pm, Dinner at 6pm, Show from 8pm.

Five star Halliday rated Clare Valley winery Greg Cooley Wines has teamed up with Adelaide eatery Jamface, Celebrity Masterchef Poh & award winning Cabaret songstress Michaela Burger to present Poh, Paella & Piaf.

The signature pop up event will be held under the stars at the iconic “Koonowla’ property East of Auburn at the Southern entrance to Clare. On Sunday evening 1st October, the historic grounds will be transformed to a veritable garden of culinary delights as Poh and the crew from Jamface (Poh’s café & patisserie located at the Adelaide’s Central Markets) dish up a rustic 3 course meal of tasty eats.

The menu includes Naples style pan fried pizza, Poh’s famous Paella and a spectacular selection of delictable desserts – the eclectic Adelaide eatery providing the perfect theatrical prelude to an intimate Cabaret performance of the award winning production ‘Exposing Edith’.

Performed by Michaela Burger on vocals and Greg Wain on Guitar, Exposing Edith is the cabaret tale of the legendary French singer Edith Piaf – her life, loves, her soul & songs. The show has won Best Cabaret at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe Festival, featured as part of the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival line up and as recent as 2016 was nominated for a Helpmann Award. The breathtaking show features classics such as La Vie en Rose, Padam and Non, Jene regrette rien alongside lesser known gems all uniquely reworked. The result is an exquisite mix of authentic, vintage French pop and contemporary sounds.

Poh, Paella and Piaf celebrates the creativity of arts and entertainment and food and wine, as part of the Clare Valley Winemakers month long ‘Clare with Fresh Air program, which highlights the wonderful combination of seafood matched with Clare Valley wines….especially Riesling.

A selection of red, white & sparkling wines will be available by the glass and bottle for purchase on the evening along with local craft beers. Cash and eftpos facilities available!

Shuttle bus transportation to and from the event is available at $30 pp and tickets are limited, commencing at $95 per person for general admission inclusive of dinner and show, to dress circle seats in our comfy, cushioned cane chairs for $125 pp.

People encouraged to book early to assist organizers with catering and seating plans. Koonowla is located approximately 5.5km east of the township of Auburn, which is at the Southern entrance to the Clare Valley. (Approx 30km from Clare; 67km from Tanunda & just over an hour and a half from Adelaide).
