Pitchfork Restaurant with Greg Cooley Wines

Vintage Wine Lunch at Pitchfork Restaurant Friday 16th March 2018

If good food, good wine and grand times are your thing, you’ll have a great afternoon at Pitchfork Restaurant’s Vintage Wine Lunch Friday 16th March, with South Australian Winemaker Greg Cooley of Greg Cooley Wines.

The outgoing winemaker is back for another quick stopover during harvest sampling grapes fresh from the vines and tasting quality juice as you should – with good food, good friends and without the pretension! The day kicks off with bubbles at noon as Greg shares with you in good humour some of the stories behind his wines, and update on the 2018 vintage and his journey thus far as a winemaker.

Once again he’s teamed up with tenor trio TENORI (original founders of the Ten Tenors) to make the day even more special and provide a tasting with a difference. You’ll enjoy songs from Michael Buble, Leonard Cohen, Peter Allen and James Taylor, through to some of the great Opera classics, while enjoying premium Clare Valley wines. Tickets at $110 pp include canapes, 3 courses, 8 matching wines and entertainment.

A teaser of the menu from Pitchfork Chef Craig Galea includes Salt Cod Balls with Aioli; Bakes Goats Cheese with honey and walnut dressing; Mooloolaba prawns tomato consomme, barley, preserved lemon, shallot and capers; Confit duck, duck fat potatoes and wild mushroom; finishing with Passion fruit roulade, Turkish delight ice cream and Persian fairy floss.
